E3 2011: Square Enix considering Final Fantasy for Wii U

Before Final Fantasy exploded in popularity with FFVII on PlayStation, the home of the series was Nintendo. Although the rumors surrounding Final Fantasy XV for Nintendo's new console proved false, an interview with FFXIII producer Yoshinori Kitase leaves the possibility open.
Speaking with NowGamer at E3 2011, Kitase had this to say about Nintendo's new Wii U:
It's possible we could see a return of the series to its Nintendo roots. Final Fantasy XV for Wii U, anyone?

Speaking with NowGamer at E3 2011, Kitase had this to say about Nintendo's new Wii U:
"Three or four years ago we joked around about developing a Final Fantasy game on the Wii Fit balance board"
"But after seeing Wii U revealed at Nintendo's conference, we are now considering the possibilities of bringing the Final Fantasy series to the format."
